“Pure Vision” Ecological Photography Exhibition
The Art of photography is an art of being “here and now”, dealing both with transitory and everlasting subject matter. For this reason it is a very effective instrument in heightening the ecological awareness of society. Ecological photography is literary a photographer’s point-of-view, showing not only his opinion concerning environmental problems, but capable of inspiring people to take a look around and contemplate what is awaiting us in our future, our children’s future and the future of our planet Earth.
The Ecological Photography Competition “Pure Vision” is an opportunity to truly reveal the beauty and uniqueness of nature, captured in a moment of absolute purity. It is an urgent and non-traditional view of environmental problems, which man has caused and nearly become accustomed to.
Photos, sent to participate in the competition, reflect the main topics of ecological concern: air, water, and soil pollution as a result of human industrial activity; global climate change; animals in the human world.
Genres: landscapes, animalistic, journalistic, fine-art photography, macro photography.

The sincerity of the photographer’s message as an un-biased and sometimes shocking view of a problem that we often ignore, unifying beauty and ugliness in one shot – the competition has touched upon a problem of personal responsibility, including the photographer as a “witness”. It is our responsibility for what we do with the planet, with the environment surrounding us, with the ‘home’ where we live.
